about us
est. 2019
Hi and welcome to the Banks Family Travels page! We are Ray, Megan, Ray Jr. and Mack – we are a multicultural family with backgrounds from Hong Kong, Taiwan and the United States! We speak three languages at home and now adding a fourth because we currently live in Stockholm, Sweden out of all places! We love spending time together, enjoying experiences, and recording our adventures through Instagram, Youtube and Tiktok.
Our story began way back on May 18th, 2019 when Ray and I got married. Side story: we got married in both Hong Kong and the U.S. as an acknowledgment to both of our cultural roots! When I married to Ray, I had this feeling that we are not only going to go through many life adventures together, but also adventure through many places – and I was not wrong at all. Few years down the road, we had our eldest Ray and then Mack – they are the most darling things in this world. Their curiosity and adventurous souls constantly spark ours such that we wanted to share the world with them.
SO here we are, always ready for adventure and sharing special moments together as a family wherever we are at. We are proud foodies and explorers of all family-friendly activities and places around the world. Thank you for being part of our story and we can’t wait to share more with the family-traveling community that we are proudly in!
With love,

Hi, I am Ray – a proud husband, father of our two boys, Ray and Mack. Growing up, I traveled a lot with my family so adventure is something that I grew up with and also eventually became a part of me. My hands-down favorite food in the world is pizza as I lived in Italy for two years as a full-time volunteer; favorite instrument is ukulele where I learned to play during my college years in Hawaii. I have a background in marketing and enjoy videography as a side hobby.
Hello, I am Megan. I love learning about different cultures and it is honestly my favorite thing about traveling to different places – I get to learn how others see the world and in return reflect on how I do so with my own. I consider myself lucky to grow up the melting pot of different cultures, Hong Kong, before I moved to the U.S. for school. I also lived in Vancouver, Canada when I was 21 to serve a full-time mission for my church for 1.5 years. I loved every moment of it!
Heyo! Ray here – yes I have the same name as my dad because we were born on the same day! I have the same name as my grandpa in Hong Kong and my great grandpa (who also share me and my dad’s birthday). I love building things and my current favorite things are trains and cars. During my free time, you will find me either building things, or riding my bicycle or scooter. I can be pretty quick!
Hello! Mack here! I have a Swedish Middle name “Anders” because I am the only one born in Sweden after our family moved here from the US. I am a really good-eater and love lego and sand. I can run pretty quickly and love to give hugs to my family members. Right now I am learning how to kick a soccer ball. I always help my mom put the trash to the bin!
